Medium-deep red with a touch of brick. Lovely ripe nose, dark cherry, cedar and chocolate. Ripe, full wine with great pinot character and oak and acid in balance, and secondary earth/forest notes there. Long complex finish. Wonderful! Gibbston Back Road Pinot Noir 2010

Very light. Gentle red fruits and cherry nose. Delicate and feminine wine. Sweet fruit. Lacks complexity, but in character and clean. Good length. Easy drinking. Young vines I’d guess and needs time in bottle I suspect. Gibbston, Central Otago, New Zealand 15/20 [tasted 22-07-2011]
