Yes – a 2007 and still very much alive. A small percentage spent five months on old oak (according to the website), and it makes this wine. Schubert Cabernet/Merlot 2006

Delicious blackcurrant and perfume nose – almost like there’s a touch of Cab Franc in there. Palate matches nose – delicate, black fruits, plum, and vanilla and chocolate notes. Taninn and acid are balanced. Alcohol heat there just a little too much (14.5% – my guess was 15). Great wine – not a fruit bomb. Glad I have … Continue reading
