Bouchard Pere & Fils Monthelie Clos les Champs Fulliot 1999

Medium deep red robe with browning edge. Touch hot on the nose; cedar, dark cherry, slightly meaty. Drying tannins up front, but full and round with warm mushroom, cherry and wood notes. Tannins dominate on finish. Past its best – aging gracefully though.

Monthelie, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France

Bought www.caros.co.nz. Poor to average value at $50.00 (but better when it was younger!). Stored in a cool spare room.
